Joining Tricres in 2022 with our third cohort is Jez Allman. Jez is from beautiful Rutland and now lives in equally beautiful Bath.
He is a dedicated sports enthusiast and lifelong supporter of Leicester Tigers and Manchester United, more recently enjoying match days at the Rec supporting Bath (unless Leicester Tigers are in town).
After studying coaching at Loughborough and at England Rugby (the RFU), he built on his social and competitive nature by moving into a career in sales and marketing, where being a part of a team and helping its members achieve their goals is both exciting and rewarding.
Areas of Expertise
Jez is highly experienced in effectively creating and implementing strategies that have driven high growth in organisations from sole traders and start-ups, through family firms and SMEs to big companies.
Jez started his career in classic sales roles, including FedEx, Marston’s and Coca-Cola, where he learnt from the best and built his knowledge of sales and branding, as well as gaining an understanding of the entire supply chain from sourcing to customer and consumer insight.
This experience enabled him to set up his own business importing eco-friendly roses. He sourced the perfect supplier in Kenya and consulted with the farmer to ensure ethically correct principles, production, packaging etc. This approach resulted in his business supplying roses to M&S and Sainsbury’s, subsequently becoming a consultant to M&S.
Jez was then approached to join the RFU where he headed up the most successful sports development team in Europe (190 strong). In this role, Jez developed and implemented a playbook to enable rugby clubs to develop their skills, consistently apply best practice, and achieve commercial success.
In recent years, he has been coaching and consulting successfully across a wide variety of sectors including telecommunications, medical supplies, architects, accountants, wine dealers, hospitality, and retail. He has worked with businesses across both B2C / B2B channels using a mix of digital sales, telesales, direct sales and business sales to deliver and exceed their targets and accelerate their growth.
Jez is motivated by metrics and believes the best way to deliver the right numbers is by inspiring and enabling team members – so everyone is pulling in the same direction. He has a track record of equipping and enabling team members both to achieve their personal targets and to understand their role in delivering bigger, business-wide goals whilst keeping things fun.
Jez’s business development and sales skills have most recently helped to grow a telecoms business from 15 to +150 employees, ultimately securing £multi-million funding for their next phase of growth.

Outside of work…
Jez played for Leicester Tigers for a few seasons and then for Leicester club Stoneygate. After hanging up his boots he spent many years coaching minis and juniors at Oakham RFC. His sports of choice are now walking and golfing. He is also a comedy and music fan and loves attending gigs and music festivals.
